What Is a CRS Score?
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) assigns points to candidates in Canada’s Express Entry pool based on age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and additional factors. The highest-scoring candidates receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence in regular and category-based draws.
2026 CRS Score Ranges
- 501+ β Excellent. High probability of receiving an ITA in most draw types.
- 451β500 β Strong. Very competitive in category-based draws targeting healthcare, STEM, and trades.
- 401β450 β Moderate. A provincial nomination (which adds 600 points) may be your fastest route.
- Under 400 β Focus on improving language scores, gaining Canadian work experience, or exploring PNP streams.
